Over the past couple weeks I've been working on a few specific parts of my site, that I am happy to say are done! (At least for desktop, but I'll probably wait until I'm not in classes to focus on fixing the mobile versions.)

The two most recent are focused around fanfic. One is the creation of a mock-AO3 page for my Interstitial campaign, Death Game Tour, complete with pages for fics that end up actually being written! My friends asked if I would host their work on the site too, and I am so excited by the prospect. So far we have a short drabble up by me and a couple chapters of a once-hypothetical fic by Danny.

The other is a revamp of my fanfiction page(s)! I originally made them match the rest of the site, but I've been wanting to change them. I found the index page a little boring and the individual fic pages not super pleasant to read on. I used the mock AO3 css as a starting place and adapted it until it felt appropriately iztopher-ed. Most exciting, I added a search function!

While I was at it, I went ahead and uploaded three fics I posted on AO3 but had yet to crosspost to the website: the most roundabout game, a fic about Myst and Robin trying to return Galahad's sword after Aveyond 4, tender as a bruise, sharper than a razor, an Amanda Young character study collab between me and Danny, and Five Times Te'ijal and Galahad Tried to Get Divorced, which is self explanatory.

Before the fic page updates, I reworked my favorites page. I wanted it to be a bit more eye-catching, as well as to give me space to gush about my special interests. I also added a section on my "Current Obsession", so I can highlight whatever it is that I'm currently really into, even if it doesn't end up being a long-term favorite.

I also made a few changes to the front page, mostly to use up space better. Now I've got a self portrait and smaller buttons for my other websites/accounts.

Next up:

• I want to continue re-working my front page. Specifically, I want a little middle bar where I can highlight what I'm currently up to. I'd like to use javascript to repeat the Current Obsession from my favorites page, as well as have little blurbs about the projects I'm most focused on at the moment. Maybe even a currently reading/watching section?

  • I'm really bad at keeping all my "currently" sections up to date, and I feel like putting them all in one file that gets repeated via javascript is the most likely way I'll ever fix that.

• I also want to create a Death Game Tour landing page, where I talk a bit more about the campaign.

• I want to rework my About page to be a bit more visually appealing, as well as more to the point.
